Toronto Industrial Kollective [TIK]
An Era at The Savage Garden

I'm sorry to have to announce that the Iszoloscope | Antigen Shift | Sino concert this Thursday (August 22nd, 2002) will be the last weekly evening of T.i.K. at Savage Garden. From this point on, T.i.K. will evolve further, and will be seeking out other venues to spread its vision. We may take a little vacation, however, to rest our ears

and our livers, and to rethink the purpose and ideology of the T.i.K. concept. We had a really great time and played some amazing new music, and we would like to thank all the DJs and patrons that helped and supported us during this time.

The Toronto Industrial Kollective site [industrialkollective.org] will be up and running, providing new reviews of incredible Industrial releases and will be the first place to go to learn about any future T.i.K. events. The Industrial Kollective Distribution [IkD] is still going strong, and will be providing Toronto with a source of affordable Industrial music at:

T.i.K. A night of progressive industrial. Features a rotating roster of DJs, whose aim is to inject new musical desires into a stagnant scene. Standard music for standard club nights is satisfactory for standard people, but T.i.K. Wishes something more. If you do as well, then please support the T.i.K. Experiment.

To contact T.i.K., Send an email to tik@yip.org or visit www.industrialkollective.org for more info

"this is not something that I would normally do, that is post a comment about a club night at Savage. But after the first T.i.K, I realized that I had to tell people about my experience. It was an awe inspiring night in its nonconformity. The thought that a night of noise could ever be so interesting was up until then beyond me. At the time I noticed every tune and they all struck something deep inside my unconscious mind. Some were incredible and others mind numbing in their assault on my ears. When I went home my head had been entirely scrambled, and my first reaction was one of horror and a low level headache. It wasn't until the next day that I realized that I had enjoyed it. I had enjoyed it because it was not the same old stuff. It challenged what I thought about music, for that reason alone I am very much looking forward to the next."
